Who we are

This website belongs to Sussex Heritage Painting & Decorating, a local business covering Eastbourne & East Sussex. We decide how your information is used.

Questions about your information? Message us on WhatsApp or call 07700 900456.

What we collect

You don't need an account to use this website, and it doesn't store the messages you send.

The quote builder writes a WhatsApp message for you. You choose whether to send it. If you do, the message goes straight to us on WhatsApp. It can include your name, the job, your postcode and your phone number.

If you call us, we will see your phone number.

We keep your WhatsApp messages and call details on our phone only as long as we need them for your quote or job.

Why we use it

We use it to reply to you, give you a quote and do the work you ask for. The law lets us do this because you asked us for a quote or a job, and because we have a fair reason to reply to enquiries.

Who else is involved

We never sell your information.

WhatsApp (owned by Meta) carries your message. Its own privacy policy applies.
Cloudflare hosts this website. Like any web host, it handles basic technical details such as your IP address to show you the pages and keep the site secure.
The page styling and icons load from Tailwind CSS and Cloudflare's cdnjs. They see your IP address when your browser fetches those files.
Our fonts are stored on this website, so Google doesn't see your visit.

WhatsApp and Cloudflare may handle data outside the UK, using safeguards approved under UK law.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't go ahead: up to 12 months. Job and tax records: 6 years, as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you. You can also ask us to correct it or delete it. Just message or call us.

You can also ask us to stop using it, limit how we use it, or give you a copy to take elsewhere. It's free, and we'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This website uses no tracking or advertising cookies.

It saves one small note in your browser so it remembers you closed the cookie notice. The business owner's admin page keeps them logged in for the current browser tab only.
